03/10/08 - When using Signs with FPSCX10:
01/18/08 - I have fixed an issue when scripts are created for FPSC X10 and I am currently testing it now before I release it. I am also thinking about releasing an early version of S3D to registered owners of Signs 4.x If you would like to take a look and play around with S3D then send me an email. I'm really looking for some people that like to re-texture existing rooms so, they can tell me how S3D works for them. 12/02/07 - Signs IV 4.07 has been released. This version has been tested with the Beta Version of FSPCreator X10. I am waiting for my full released version of FPSC X10 to arrive but, unless TGC changed something in the released version then Signs 4.27 works without problem. If you do find a problem and I can duplicated it then I will fix it. Also new in 4.27 is the ability to bring a room you create directly into S3D. Though, S3D is not currently released I went ahead and left that feature open for when S3D does get released. 11/30/07 - I sent out a new beta version of S3D. After I get some feedback I will work on the saving feature. I don't see this taking too long because I have already done this in Signs. I also received an email saying my copy of X10 has been shipped so, I can now say that Signs and S3D will work in X10. I was on the beta team for X10 so, unless TGC changed something at the last minute there should be no problem. Note though: Only the full Signs Version 4.26 and higher works with fpscreator X10. I will be releasing a new version of Signs shortly that ties directly to S3D allowing rooms created in Signs to be available immediately in FPSCreator. 10/29/07 - Ok the ability to re-texture in realtime is now working. It works as good as I hoped but, there is still lots to do before releasing. If I just wanted to create another program like Signs it would have been done by now but, I want S3D to be much more graphical. I am learning so much about DBPro along the way. Plus, the users over at the TGC forums are releasing so many cool things it's really hard not to get side tracked. 10/24/07 - The S3D 'Welcome to the Bowels of Hell' desktop wallpaper has been released for free personal use. This wallpaper will be available on both FPSCOnline.com and Andromedus.com. Please do not use this image or any part of this image for anything other than desktop wallpaper. If you would like to have custom art work done for your projects then I highly recommend you contact the folks over at andromedus.com. This image is part of the Horror Theme that was created for S3D. I will be posting an image of all the Themes shortly to the S3D page which you can find under the Products link. 10/22/07 - When I started writing S3D I decided I wanted to develop a 3D application and I wanted to go all out. I started looking for an artist to create a series of themes so users could switch to a theme of their choice. I contacted Richard from Andromedus.com and sent him my layout and some samples I created. He was interested in what I was trying to do with the interface and I was able to contract Richard to create the first two professional themes (Sci-Fi and WW2). You can see the results by clicking the Sneek Peek link below. Richard did such a great job I contracted him to complete the final theme for me (horror) and let me tell you, it looks really good. I will be putting the Horror theme into S3D for the next few days. Once I have the horror theme in place I will release a few screenshots plus a special offering to everyone. Just in time for halloween - Horror Desktop Wallpaper for your PC . But be warned, it's not for the faint of heart. It really gives me the creeps. 10/16/07 - Click Here to get a Sneek Peek of S3D. S3D is a new utility I am writing that will allow users of FPSC Creator to select a room segment and re-texture it in a real time 3D enviroment. S3D is not completed at this time but, I felt it was far enough along to show a few screen shots. 09/27/07 - The new program is coming along nicely, the first professional theme has been completed and put into the program. The beta team is doing a great job of looking things over and letting me know how things are working for them. They are also giving me lots of good ideas. I am sorry I am being so vague on this program but, I don't feel it's quite ready to show anything at this time. It won't be to long before I can put up some screenshots and tell you all more about what it does. 09/16/07 - The graphic artist position has been filled. Thanks for those that showed interest and I sent an email to you all as well. 09/13/07 - I am looking for a graphic artist to create a graphical interface for the application. This will be a paid job so if you are interested please email me a sample screen shot of an interface you have created. By interface I mean buttons (up and down), panels, etc.. watermarked images are fine. All beta tester have been selected and we are currently on Beta III. The interface is pretty much done and I'm ready to hire a graphics artist. Coding is going well and the program is coming along nicely. Once I get a little further along I'll post some screen shots here and on the fpsc forum. 09/07/07 - I am looking for a few people to test a new application I am writing. The new application allows you to open existing room segments and re-texture them real time in 3D. Currently, I am just testing a few interfaces to see what people like more. Also, just want to see if it runs on other systems. Testers will need to be comfortable editing a text file and then report back to me on the interface and 3D control movement. If you are interested please send me an email to fpscuser@gmail.com with your email address and tgc forum name and put Signs3D in the subject line. 08/26/07 - Added new version 4.2.6 which just fixed errors in 4.2.5, debug info left in compiled program would cause Signs to exit, Icon not getting creating for diagonal walls, and made floor level the same for room created with and without floors. This version should be stable once again. Let me know if you find any other problems. 08/22/07 - Fixed problem in walls module where a STOP statement for testing was accidentally left in causing the program to error out. Oops . . Thanks to Ross for pointing that out to me. Again, if anyone finds anything else let me know. 08/16/07 - Updated Signs to allow it to accept images that are greater than 24 bit. 07/25/07 - Completed a new version of Signs which fixed a problem with ceilings in the room segments, I added a diagonal wall to wall segments and added a couple of new dialog images. I'll post the new version of Signs a little later today. 07/17/07 - While surfing around the internet I came across a cool little programming language called Brutus2D. As you probably figured out by the name it allows you to program 2D games. The language is easy to pickup since it's basic like and it comes with lots of examples to play around with. If you've ever wanted to play around with programming then I highly recommend Brutus2D. Brutus2D creates stand alone games that are fairly small in size. If you want to check it out they have a free version. The full version has more features and the price for the full version . . well you won't believe me so check it out yourself at: http://pewtersoftware.com/wordpress/ 06/24/07 - I have been working on the next LandScape Construction Kit code name 'RedPlanet'. I have some of the terrain pieces done and a new sky. Anyway here is a little preview of how it looks in FPSC.
06/22/07 - Uploaded a new version of Signs 4.2.3. Some textures where missing from the previous install that caused the custom module to not load. If you are having problems loading the custom option you need to download this to fix the problem. 06/11/07 - Just heard about a new site gearing up for multiplayer games. http://www.klanwarfare.com I think this is a great idea.. I mean how many people want to play multiplayer with someone besides their local friends. I do. (ok that's because I don't have any friends) So go over and register and let's push them to get this going. I wonder how many people want to frag me..I hope I don't spend most of my time picking myself up off the ground. 06/08/07 - New version update 4.2.2 which has the new manual and the room wall segment has been replaced with a flat wall. The previous wall segment was not correct. A thanks to Brent for letting me know.
